    FRENCH WINE CASE SEAL, FRENCH OCEAN LINER NORMANDIE, NEW YORK HARBOR 1943
    This very hard wax seal is from a case of very expensive French wine that was found in the Grande Salon on the French ocean liner Normandie that sank in New York harbor in 1942 when it was salvaged in November, 1943.
    It has lettering in high relief on both sides & is in very good condition & still has some New York bottom
    execrations
    on both sides.
    It is an interesting piece of French, New York & World ar II history!
