1906 New York PRESTATE LEATHER license plate (GIBBY GOOD)

This is a nice all original
NY '01 - '10 prestate
license plate.  From 1901 through early 1910, New York motorists were required to supply their own license plates bearing the registration number issued by the State.  This handmade leather plate is an example of those pioneer plates.  This number was issued in 1906.  Grades G by
ALPCA
and
MLPCA
standards.
