    French Line: The November 5, 1932, issue of French news magazine "Le Miroir du Monde" featuring a cover story on the NORMANDIE's launch.
    Inside is a one-page article with photos of the event. "How could we, here, not constantly think of the giant ship, fruit of the work of these shipyards without which Saint-Nazaire could not live," noted correspondent R.Y. Creton. "From whatever side one approaches the city, its russet and red mass imposed itself on the gaze, erected above the roofs, the chimneys, the forest of masts and cranes of the industrial city, like a monstrous cathedral."
