    Description

    This auction is for a group of 2 original British/UK pattern 1903 MK II leather ammo bandoliers. Both examples are dated 1939 as visible in the closeups. They were manufactured for WWII (originally dyed brown) even though it's a design from earlier in the century and more commonly seen in the time around WWI and the Irish War of Independence. This design dated in the WWII time period is actually very rare. These straps were dyed black possibly as post-war surplus in the greater UK or for re-deployment somewhere around the world. The leather is somewhat stiff and has cracks. Both straps are partially torn through, but not all the way as visible in the photos. These are historical items with stories to tell, and not meant to be worn without suffering further damage.
