French Line: A large (11" by 14.5") "l'Atlantique" news sheet from the NORMANDIE dated July 21, 1935. The ship had taken her maiden voyage less than two months earlier.
This French version is printed on one only side, meaning it was inserted into a larger magazine format l'Atlantique for distribution to passengers. Famed French Line commandant Rene Puget is on the masthead.
The news covers French events such as demonstrations on l'Avenue de l'Opera, union infighting, and the national team's bad day on the Tour de France. Other tidbits - the sale of Napoleon's love letters written when he was sixteen, the joy of car accessory catalogs, and the recent census of Italy.
Fair condition with fold lines and wear on the sides.
